About Arizona Ally
Arizona Ally is a campus initiative to create a more inclusive and accessible learning environment for all students and instructors. We envision a culture of access in which all course materials are accessible to all students. Our goal is to improve the student experience by allowing them to take control of how they interact with course content.
As a new feature in D2L, students have the option to download course materials in different formats, such as an MP3 or html file, to better suit their learning needs. Instructors will have access to reports and feedback regarding their courses with simple tips on how to improve course content accessibility.
The new feature is another tool to help increase access and inclusion. The tool does not replace alternate formats as a disability-related accommodation. Students with disabilities who need alternate formats as a reasonable accommodation can request textbooks and other academic materials be converted by connecting with the Disability Resource Center.
